Berlinale x Projekt Glitter
Three months ago, Projekt Glitter had the honor of teaming up with one of the world’s most iconic film festivals - Berlinale for their 75th anniversary. And guess what? This wasn’t our first collaboration! Five years ago, we created a custom labelled glitter pot for their 70th anniversary, making this partnership a full-circle moment for sustainable sparkle.

The Berlinale x Projekt Glitter Collaboration
For Berlinale’s 75th anniversary, we crafted a limited-edition biodegradable glitter inspired by the festival colours for this year.
Here's a timeline of how the collaboration came together:
Sept 2024
We just got an email from someone on the Berlinale Communications & Marketing team asking for some of our blends with custom labels, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🙉
Oct 2024
We send out some samples of our blends, and when someone asks us to create a custom mix, we’re all in! Honestly, we love coming up with new blends!
Nov 2024
We work through 3 different blend iterations, swapping photos and videos over email, before landing on the perfect mix.
Dec 2024
We send them the label dimensions, and their team takes care of creating the design. (I actually gave them the wrong dimensions- and was off by 5mm - but we will gloss over this hiccup!)
Jan 2025
The final samples are out, and the bulk order is mixed, packaged, and labeled in our studios. Everything's now on its way to the Berlinale partners for photos, so it’ll all be online just in time for the festival from February 13th to 23rd, 2025!
Why this matters:
- Zero microplastics – Unlike traditional glitter, ours dissolves harmlessly after the festival.
- Custom branding – Each packet featured Berlinale’s anniversary logo.
- Industry shift – Major events are choosing eco-friendly alternatives.
